Job description

  • Build and evolve the backend infrastructure for Dash0's Agentic AI Platform, working primarily in Node.js with Go for performance-critical components.
  • Partner with AI engineers to optimize agentic workflows, providing the deep software engineering skills necessary to make AI models reliable and performant in production.
  • Architect and evolve our security strategy for executing unknown and potentially unsafe code - ensuring the system remains secure, efficient, and robust.
  • Co-own platform stability, identifying technical risks early and ensuring monitoring and observability signals are world-class.
  • Establish new patterns for agentic services, including distributed systems design, async debugging, and production resilience.
  • Mentor other engineers on backend best practices and contribute to the technical direction of the Agent0 product roadmap.

Requirements

  • Deep experience in Node.js and proficiency in Go - polyglot by necessity, not just preference.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, async architectures, and production reliability.
  • A genuine interest in AI and eagerness to experiment in a rapidly evolving space - you don't need to be an ML engineer, but you're excited about building the infrastructure that makes AI agents work.
  • Experience architecting for security in environments where untrusted code execution is a concern.
  • Expertise leveraging AI and agentic coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining high technical judgment.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on documentation and knowledge sharing - you value autonomy but keep the team informed.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building or operating agentic AI systems, LLM pipelines, or code sandbox environments.
  • Familiarity with the OpenTelemetry ecosystem or observability infrastructure.
  • Experience in a high-growth, venture-backed startup environment.

Benefits & conditions

  • Competitive salary & meaningful equity participation - you'll own part of what you're building
  • Flexible, remote-first work environment with offices in New York, Amsterdam, and Munich
  • €60/month phone & internet allowance
  • Location-specific benefits
  • Collaborative, fast-moving team culture with a builder mindset
  • Clear path for career growth and development
  • Direct access to founders and leadership
