The role is responsible for the ongoing iteration and enhancement of the allocated products, ensuring they continue to meet customer needs while supporting wider commercial objectives. This high-impact, analytical role will work closely with Channel Managers and engineering teams to own the end-to-end delivery and ongoing performance of our technology products, platforms and capabilities. What you'll be doing:
- Take full ownership of technical products and services from inception through to delivery, managing and prioritising the feature backlog while driving continuous iteration to ensure smooth, timely and cost-efficient delivery that meets commercial objectives.
Lead a cross-functional technical team to bring new propositions to market quickly and effectively. Work closely with teams across the business to identify the right resources, capabilities and training needed to develop, integrate and optimise products. Engage with and support the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Board of Management (BoM), providing clear guidance to secure alignment, understanding and approval for key technology products, including associated investment requirements. Collaborate with fellow Product Owners and Channel Managers to understand the needs of customers, retailers, brands, internal departments and Headquarters (HQ), translating these into clear, actionable requirements for delivery teams. Fully own backlog management and prioritisation, maintaining a clear and strategic product roadmap that balances new functional enhancements with the reduction of technical debt. Work closely with HQ to understand, influence and align the Volkswagen Financial Services UK technology roadmap, ensuring that UK-specific technical capabilities are delivered in the right sequence to support commercial goals. What you'll bring: You'll be a proactive and commercially-minded Product Owner with the ability to balance customer needs, business goals and technical considerations to deliver high-value digital products. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, confidently owning decisions and guiding teams to achieve successful outcomes. You'll have a passion for creating exceptional digital experiences, a focus on delivering measurable commercial impact, and a delivery mindset that keeps products moving forward through clear prioritisation, collaboration and continual iteration. Essential experience & skills:
- Experience in driving innovation and contributing to end-to-end product development initiatives.
