Job description

  • Manage end-to-end IT infrastructure: workstations, servers, embedded devices, networking equipment.
  • Implement and maintain secure VPNs, firewalls and strict access rules to protect sensitive defense data.
  • Oversee software licensing and hardware procurement as the team scales.
  • Operate on-prem assets: NAS storage, Raspberry Pi clusters, Nvidia development clusters and test benches.
  • Manage and optimize GCP resources: VM instances, Cloud SQL, GCS.
  • Design and enforce IAM, SSO and Directory Management for secure user lifecycle.
  • Maintain and scale containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Ensure resilience, availability and compliance of systems in a mission-critical, high-security context.

Stack & environment :

  • Systems: Linux / Unix, VM management, hardware configuration.
  • Cloud: Google Cloud Platform (VMs, Cloud SQL, GCS, IAM).
  • Containers: Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Identity & security: IAM, SSO, Directory Management, VPNs, firewalls, access policies.
  • On-prem: NAS, Raspberry Pi clusters, Nvidia GPU development clusters, test benches.
  • Sovereign cloud: exposure to European providers (Scaleway, OVHcloud) is a strong plus.
  • Context: deeptech defense, real-time AI on drones, operations with NATO-aligned forces., * Work on infrastructure that directly supports combat-proven AI systems deployed on drones and tactical platforms.
  • Join a deeptech backed by top-tier defense investors and validated by NATO, with field deployments and live exercises.
  • High ownership: first dedicated IT Systems & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, building the backbone from the ground up.
  • International environment with offices in Europe and North America, and close contact with teams operating on the ground.

Requirements

70-80 K€ gross per year (for ~4-5 years experience)

Paris (on-site, high-security environment)

Remote: on-site role, limited remote due to defense constraints

Languages: French & English - professional level

Strong experience in IT infrastructure, cloud (GCP) and Linux systems administration, * Solid experience in IT Systems Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure or SysAdmin with strong GCP exposure.

  • Proven ability to run secure cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on security and access control.
  • Strong Linux/Unix background and hands-on experience with hardware and networking.
  • Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for deployment and orchestration.
  • Excellent command of IAM/SSO/directory systems for user provisioning and access management.
  • Professional-level French and English; at ease in written and spoken interactions.
  • Comfortable with a defense / military context and the idea of supporting deployments in operational theaters (e.g. Ukraine).

Nice to have: experience with sovereign cloud providers, knowledge of Ukrainian

Salary: 70-80 K€ gross per year (for ~4-5 years experience).
