Job description
As a Senior Digital Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll play a pivotal role in strengthening and evolving our digital engineering capability across Mission Systems. This is an exciting opportunity to shape how modern engineering tools are selected, deployed and optimised - helping us move towards a fully connected, data-driven engineering digital thread.
Day-to-day, you'll be required to:
- Drive the definition and governance of engineering toolset policies, standards and preferred tool usage across Mission Systems
- Support bid and delivery teams by ensuring engineering tooling, licensing and training requirements are fully embedded into project plans
- Lead audits, reviews and improvement initiatives to optimise tool usage, reduce duplication and strengthen configuration management
- Collaborate on enterprise system transitions, including ERP and Product Lifecycle Management integrations
- Provide subject matter expertise and guidance on a range of core engineering tools and digital engineering best practice
This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, based in Ashton Vale, Bristol. Hybrid working patterns are available.
Requirements
Essential experience of the Senior Digital Engineer:
- Extensive hands-on experience with Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management, including change, configuration and bill of materials management
- Proven capability supporting complex engineering toolsets such as requirements management, computer-aided design, analysis and data management platforms
- Strong understanding of configuration management principles across the engineering lifecycle
- A proactive approach to learning, innovation and continuous improvement within digital engineering environments
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and translate technical detail into practical outcomes
Qualifications for the Senior Digital Engineer:
- Engineering-related Higher National Certificate or Higher National Diploma (or equivalent)
- Additional engineering or digital systems qualifications (Desirable)
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
