Job description

Data Modelling & Analytics Engineer (Databricks & Microsoft Fabric) is required by a global software company to join its AI & Data team, and to design and deliver high-quality analytics-ready data supporting decision making across the organisation.

You will be responsible for:

  • Owning and improving the Gold layer of the Databricks Medallion Architecture, delivering business-ready datasets
  • Designing and building scalable data models (star schema, SCD/CDC) for a reliable semantic layer
  • Building and optimizing data pipelines across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers
  • Developing solutions in Databricks and integrating with Microsoft Fabric for end-to-end workflows
  • Translating business needs into clear, governed data models
  • Enhancing and scaling Microsoft Fabric analytics solutions
  • Driving best practices in data modelling, governance, and architecture
  • Troubleshooting and improving ETL/ELT processes for performance and reliability
  • Documenting data models, pipelines, and transformations for reuse and clarity

Required experience and skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Databricks, including Medallion Architecture (with focus on Gold layer design).
  • Data modelling including Star schema & dimensional modelling and SCD/CDC patterns
  • Experience designing and delivering analytics-ready datasets and semantic layers for BI tools
  • SQL and Python
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric
  • Experience in building lakehouse architectures for enterprise analytics
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Azure DevOps, and modern data engineering practices

Requirements
