Lead Blockchain Architect

We are currently looking for an experienced Blockchain Architect to help define the overall technical foundation of the project during an initial architecture and planning phase. This role is intended to begin as a short term paid engagement focused on shaping the full blockchain ecosystem, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent senior position for the right person. Role Overview

This is a senior role for someone who can think beyond application-level blockchain development and help design the architecture of a new Layer 1 ecosystem from the ground up.

In the initial phase, the main objective will be to work closely with the founders and technical team to define the core architecture, evaluate technical directions, identify major trade-offs, and help shape the broader blockchain roadmap.

If there is a strong fit on both sides, the role can evolve into a long-term leadership position within the team. Initial Scope of Work

During the first phase, you will help us define and structure the following:

• overall Layer 1 blockchain architecture
• consensus and validation approach
• node structure and system design
• transaction flow and fee logic
• ecosystem architecture and technical roadmap
• scalability, security, and decentralization trade-offs
• recommended implementation stages
• technical requirements for future team expansion

Responsibilities

• Design the core architecture of a new blockchain ecosystem
• Analyze and recommend suitable protocol-level approaches
• Define system logic, validation structure, and network design
• Translate high-level ideas into practical technical architecture
• Prepare architecture documentation and technical recommendations
• Work closely with founders and developers on roadmap definition
• Help identify risks, bottlenecks, and technical priorities
• Support future technical hiring decisions if needed, This role is designed to begin with an initial paid architecture phase. The purpose of this first stage is to jointly define the technical direction, full blockchain roadmap, and ecosystem structure before moving into full-scale execution.

• Proven experience in blockchain architecture, protocol engineering, or distributed systems design
• Strong understanding of Layer 1 blockchain design principles
• Deep understanding of consensus models, transaction validation, and network architecture
• Strong background in distributed systems and system design
• Good understanding of cryptographic fundamentals relevant to blockchain systems
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and architecture plans
• Strong communication skills and practical thinking
• Ability to challenge assumptions and propose better technical solutions

Strong Plus

• Previous work on Layer 1 protocols or core blockchain infrastructure
• Experience with Rust, Go, C++, or similar backend/system languages
• Experience designing scalable and secure distributed systems
• Open-source blockchain contribution history
• Experience working with international remote teams

Compensation

Compensation depends on experience and scope of involvement.

Indicative range for the initial engagement:
