A growing and forward-thinking organisation is seeking a Systems Administrator to join its Belfast-based team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a modern, cloud-first IT environment and play a key role in supporting business growth through reliable, secure, and scalable technology. This role would suit someone who enjoys working across a broad technical landscape, from endpoint management and cloud infrastructure to security and user support. The Role You will be responsible for managing and supporting the organisation's IT environment, with a strong focus on Microsoft cloud technologies, endpoint management, and security. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-user devices including laptops, mobiles, and tablets
- Administering and supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments
- Managing device configuration, compliance, and deployment through MDM solutions (Intune)
- Supporting identity and access management (Entra ID / Azure AD)
- Maintaining and improving security posture, including endpoint protection and policies
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues
- Supporting internal systems such as collaboration and ticketing platforms
- Managing backup, disaster recovery, and data protection processes
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
Requirements
- 3-5+ years' experience in a Systems Administrator or similar role
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure
- Hands-on experience with Intune / endpoint management
- Experience with Entra ID / Azure AD (users, policies, access control)
- Exposure to security tools such as Microsoft Defender
- Experience with MDM and endpoint security best practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills across systems, devices, and networks
Nice to Have
- Experience with tools such as Jira or Confluence
- Exposure to backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Knowledge of security frameworks or compliance standards
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)
