Product/UX Designer

MCS Group is looking for a talented and experienced Product/UX Designer to join our client's digital experience team on a contract basis. This Product/UX Designer will be contributing to the design of sophisticated, high-traffic digital products used across a global customer base. This is a hybrid role, with the Product/UX Designer working on-site in Belfast/Northern Ireland with the UX team 2 - 3 days per week. • Focus on UX and product design across a variety of digital touch-points.
• Facilitate and contribute to requirements-gathering sessions with stakeholders.
• Translate business and user needs into clear, usable, and elegant design solutions.
• Create detailed user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and interaction specs.
• Work within and contribute to an evolving design system.
• Collaborate closely with visual designers, developers, business analysts, and content teams.
• Help drive an agile, user-centred design process, incorporating user research, feedback, and analytics.

• Advanced Figma skills are essential - including prototyping, component libraries, and system design.
• You will have proven experience of UX/Product Design, working across micro frontends, and single page web apps.
• Experience working with AI for design would be preferable, and the contract will suit a candidate with an interest in how to incorporate AI into design flows etc
• Proven experience designing for dense, data-rich interfaces.
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality UX and UI work across complex digital products - please include portfolio alongside your CV submission.
• Confident engaging with stakeholders and presenting design solutions with clarity and rationale.
• Comfortable working independently within a cross-functional team, across multiple time zones.
• Solid understanding of UX best practices, usability principles, and responsive design.
