We are seeking Senior Backend focused Full Stack Engineers to join a fully remote, cross-functional team working on high-traffic, production-grade systems.
You will be responsible for building and scaling core backend services, contributing to product development, and collaborating closely with Product, Design, and AI teams. Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems
- Work on high-traffic applications used by a global user base
- Contribute to architecture and performance optimisation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, and DevOps
- Take ownership of features from concept through to deployment
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend engineering experience
- Strong experience working on scalable, production-level systems
- Background in high-traffic B2C or SaaS environments
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Technical Environment
The primary stack is Ruby on Rails. However, we are open to candidates with strong experience in:
- Python (Django / FastAPI)
- Node.js
- Go
- Elixir
The focus is on strong backend engineering fundamentals rather than a specific language. Preferred Experience
- Experience scaling systems to large user bases
- Familiarity with monolithic architecture and performance optimisation
- Experience working in cross-functional teams
- Proactive approach with strong ownership and problem-solving ability
- Experience using AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Copilot) in development workflows
