Job description
We're looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Ops Realtime Team. This team is working with a cutting edge serverless tech stack on Optibus Operations, a new and modern public transportation control center software. Our clients use the product you will work on to manage thousands of buses and drivers in real time to avoid delays and optimize their public transport service., * Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, Redux/Redux-Saga on the frontend, and Node.js with TypeScript on AWS Lambda for the backend.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to deliver intuitive, user-centric features for our web app and APIs.
- Work closely with other engineering teams to ensure system-wide reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Take ownership of the full development lifecycle - from idea to production monitoring.
- Lead and mentor other engineers, helping elevate code quality, best practices, and technical craftsmanship across the team.
- Contribute to technical discussions on architecture, design patterns, and infrastructure, especially in our serverless and event-driven systems.
Requirements
This is a senior position for someone with 6+ years of experience who's ready to take ownership of high-impact projects in a serverless, event-driven environment. You'll drive technical direction, architecture, and execution across frontend, backend, and infrastructure layers, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and fellow engineers., * 6+ years of experience in full-stack development, including experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Proven experience building and maintaining web applications at scale.
- Hands-on experience with serverless architectures, especially AWS Lambda, and strong understanding of event-driven systems (event sourcing, CQRS).
- Familiarity with AWS Aurora, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code, ideally with AWS CDK.
- Comfort navigating and improving CI/CD pipelines (we use Jenkins).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset - you enjoy mentoring and learning from others.
