Job description
Key points of the position Reporting to the engineering leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring that complex hardware and software systems meet strict operational and reliability requirements before deployment in the field.
Missions As a Systems Engineer - Test & Validation, your missions will include:
- Defining and executing comprehensive Verification & Validation (V&V) strategies for complex integrated systems combining hardware, software, and RF components
- Designing and implementing structured test plans covering both laboratory and real-world operational environments
- Managing environmental and field testing campaigns, including temperature, shock, and vibration testing aligned with standards such as MIL-STD 810
- Building and maintaining Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environments
- Developing automated testing tools and scripts (Python, Bash) to support regression testing and system validation
- Ensuring full requirements traceability by linking system requirements to validated test cases in coordination with project management teams
- Leading failure analysis and root cause investigations by analyzing system logs, hardware faults, and technical data
Requirements
- Proven experience in Systems Engineering with a focus on testing, verification, and validation of complex integrated systems
- Experience with defense, aerospace, or high-reliability engineering environments is strongly appreciated
- Familiarity with defense or aerospace standards such as V-Modell XT, MIL-STDs, DO-160, or AQAP
- Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to identifying and investigating system failures
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash to automate testing processes
- Comfortable analyzing technical logs and working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Fluent German and English are imperative
- Eligibility for German security clearance (SÜ2/Ü2) is required: German or EU citizenship is mandatory
