Job description
Are you passionate about AI, data visualization, and driving data into actionable insights while contributing to the green energy transition? Join our Platform Performance and Assessment (PPA) team within Siemens Gamesa's Technology organization! In this exciting role, you will help develop and maintain intelligent tools that support Design for Reliability (DfR) initiatives across our wind turbine platforms. You will create AI-driven solutions that gather and connect data from multiple sources, power interactive dashboards, and automate reporting to facilitate data-driven decisions. Collaborating closely with engineers, data scientists, and cross-functional experts, you will significantly enhance how our team analyzes and communicates reliability performance.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Support the development and maintenance of AI-powered tools that integrate data from various sources, visualize insights through interactive applications (e.g., Power BI, R Shiny), and automate presentation generation to track reliability-related changes and decisions.
- Assist in data preparation tasks, including cleaning, transformation, and feature extraction, ensuring data is structured and ready for analysis and visualization.
- Document workflows, design choices, and outputs to ensure transparency, reproducibility, and effective knowledge sharing across stakeholders.
- Collaborate with experts across data analytics and digitalization functions within and beyond the Design for Reliability (DfR) program.
- Help transform raw data into accessible, actionable digital solutions that support decision-making, reporting, and reliability-focused improvements within the organization.
Requirements
- Enrollment in a Master's or final-year Bachelor's program in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or another relevant technical field.
- Basic knowledge of R and common data libraries for data manipulation.
- Familiarity with dashboard or data visualization tools such as Power BI and R Shiny.
- Understanding of data management basics, including master data concepts, data flows, KPIs, and data governance.
- Basic understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in real-world tools, including document processing and workflow automation.
- Comfort with SQL or similar tools for querying and aggregating data from multiple sources.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document processes and insights.
- A proactive, self-driven mindset, eager to learn and contribute in a cross-disciplinary environment.
Bonus Skills
- Experience in academic or industry projects involving AI tools, data visualization, or digital solutions to support engineering or operational decision-making.
- Familiarity with building or deploying interactive dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Shiny apps) or web-based applications for data exploration and reporting.
- Understanding of data integration challenges across sources like maintenance logs, time-series data, or engineering databases.
- Interest in or experience with automating reporting or presentation generation using data-driven methods.
- Exposure to structured technical data such as maintenance logs, time-series trends, or engineering records is a plus., We evaluate applications on a rolling basis, so early submission is encouraged. Please submit your application in English, including your CV and a short cover letter highlighting your motivation and relevant experience.
