Job description

Bring your energy to Aggreko as a Business Analyst (BI) based in our Glasgow office. As a Business Analyst in Business Intelligence, you will act as the liaison with our key business stakeholders, translating their needs and requirements into technical solutions, to allow the planning, building and implementation of technical solutions that address business needs.

Power without pause. Heating, cooling and oil-free air without end. We keep our customers' worlds on. From world-class events that last a few weeks to mining operations and remote communities who rely on us for decades.

What you'll do as a Business Analyst (BI):

  • Act as the key liaison between the business and BI teams, gathering, documenting, and communicating requirements in both technical and non-technical formats.
  • Lead the delivery of new and enhanced BI products by developing project plans, coordinating with BI developers, and supporting testing and implementation.
  • Champion best practice in business analysis, reporting, and stakeholder communication to ensure high-quality BI solutions.
  • Bring fresh thinking to dashboards and visual outputs, continuously evolving the BI portfolio to improve usability, insight, and impact.
  • Collaborate closely with the Insights team and wider business to deliver BI solutions, identify trends and opportunities, and support adoption through training and engagement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with solid knowledge of BA techniques and project delivery methodologies, ideally within an agile data environment.
  • A proactive, self-managed team player who collaborates effectively across technology and business teams while confidently working on their own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commercially minded and naturally curious, bringing a developmental mindset and fresh thinking to improve processes and outcomes.
  • Experience using Power BI or similar visualisation tools; SQL knowledge is advantageous, with the ability to deliver high-quality work on time and to agreed standards.

Benefits & conditions

  • A highly competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including a generous pension plan, annual bonus opportunities, and Life Assurance.
  • Annual leave allowance of 30 days plus 3 public holidays with the flexibility to buy or sell additional days to suit your lifestyle
  • Ongoing training and personalised development pathways to help you grow your skills and progress in your career
  • Paid volunteering days, giving you the chance to make a positive impact in your local community
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme, offering confidential support and resources to promote your wellbeing and a healthy work-life balance
