Job description

As a Senior Implementation Engineer, we would need you to provide technical leadership & guidance as well as deployment oversight to help us deliver our solutions into live operational service for our suite of products across our entire customer portfolio. Job activity & responsibilities:

  • Build, Commission, and upgrade activities for NEC Safety's product solutions.
  • Technical issue resolution of the product suite of solution/s at both hardware and software levels.
  • When required, create, review and update documentation, for example workplans, work instructions and technical guides.
  • Presentation of technical solutions to internal and external audiences
  • The role can involve extensive customer contact on both a technical and non-technical level requiring a professional and adaptable approach to communication, interaction & service.
  • The role involves a high level of autonomous working which expects a high standard of personal time and task management.
  • Be able to lead and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Complete all activities within set deadlines and report appropriately any difficulties to achieve delivery milestones.
  • Present a professional approach and attitude to all work undertaken.

Requirements

What we require from you:

  • Educated to HND/HNC level or relevant industry experience with a minimum of 2-years in a comparable role.
  • Experience within IT focused server & client-based environments
  • Experienced in troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Proven experience administering and working with Microsoft Windows client & server architecture (windows 11, up to Server 2022), primarily using DELL / HP hardware.
  • A good understanding of Microsoft active directory / domain architecture
  • Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Experience using design and documentation tools e.g. MS Visio, also using MS Applications including Excel, Word
  • A very high standard of written communication
  • Proven Experience deploying Microsoft Windows and server Operating systems
  • Expert knowledge of MySQL/MSSQL (User Administration, Creation of jobs including backups, writing / understanding queries)
  • Proven knowledge and experience of virtualisation environments (Hyper-V or VMware)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven experience working to ITIL best practices.
