Job description

You will play a key role in the full system lifecycle - from requirements definition and concept design through to build, test, and commissioning of hydraulic test rigs and associated control systems.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop system architectures for hydraulic test rigs and automation systems
  • Define system requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria
  • Integrate hydraulic, electrical, and control systems into cohesive solutions
  • Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers
  • Support design of hydraulic circuits, instrumentation, and control strategies
  • Produce system documentation, including functional specifications and test procedures
  • Support build, test, and commissioning activities (factory and on-site)
  • Assist with fault-finding, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement
  • Ensure systems comply with relevant industry standards and safety requirements

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems engineering?, We're looking for an experienced Systems Engineer with strong hydraulic test rig and integration expertise to join our growing engineering team. If you enjoy owning complex systems from concept to commissioning, solving real-world engineering challenges, and working across disciplines - this is the role for you., Essential:

  • 5+ years' experience in systems engineering or similar role
  • Strong experience with hydraulic systems and test rigs
  • Experience integrating multi-disciplinary systems (mechanical, electrical, controls)
  • Ability to produce system-level documentation and specifications
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems
  • Familiarity with relevant engineering and safety standards

Desirable:

  • Experience with high-pressure or safety-critical hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and fluid power systems
  • Experience with test system development or validation environments
  • Exposure to simulation or modelling tools
