Job description
You'll design, implement, and operate IoT network solutions for an enterprise client. The core of the role is building and managing IoT connectivity infrastructure - onboarding devices, designing isolation and security strategies, and keeping everything running reliably as the IoT estate grows. Cisco SD Access, DNA Center, and VxLAN are must-haves. If you don't have hands-on production experience with all three, this isn't the right role. The client needs someone who has delivered with these tools - not just familiarity. Requirements What You'll Be Doing
-
Designing, implementing, and troubleshooting IoT solutions end to end
-
Onboarding IoT devices onto the network using Cisco DNA Center
-
Integrating sensors, actuators, and communication modules into IoT systems
-
Developing network strategies using DNAC to isolate and secure IoT traffic
-
Implementing security measures to protect IoT devices and data
-
Evaluating and feasibility-testing IoT solutions and documenting findings
-
Designing networks that can scale to accommodate future IoT growth
-
Documenting system architecture, design specs, and troubleshooting procedures
What We Need
- Cisco SD Access, DNA Center (DNAC), and VxLAN - production delivery, not certification only
Requirements
-
IoT protocols: MQTT, CoAP, Thread
-
Programming experience: C, C++, Python, Java
-
Cloud IoT platforms: AWS IoT or Azure IoT
-
Security best practices for IoT devices and networks
-
Hardware integration experience - sensors, actuators, firmware
-
5-8 years' experience in IoT development and network engineering
