Configuring and deploying automation solutions

Designing and implementing network security measures: Developing and deploying security strategies to protect networks against cyberattacks and unauthorised access.
Configuring and maintaining firewalls, VPNs and other security devices.
Network performance monitoring and management: Continuously monitor networks to detect and respond to security incidents.
Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Troubleshooting and technical support: Diagnose and resolve network security issues.
Provide advanced technical support and collaborate with other teams to resolve incidents.
Requirements
Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and in a way that is understandable to non-technical staff.
Problem-solving: Ability to analyse and quickly resolve network security issues.
Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor teams, sharing knowledge and training junior members.
Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to new technologies and rapid changes in the field of IT security.
Time management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, meeting deadlines and prioritising effectively.
Documentation: Creation and updating of processes (NIS2).
You have the following skills
Network Management and Routing: Understanding of the fundamental principles of network management, including the configuration and management of routers and switches. Knowledge of routing protocols and concepts such as dynamic routing, static routing and inter-domain routing. In addition, this includes ExpressRoute, ISP connectivity, Wi-Fi networks, DNS solutions and TACACS
Network Security: Expertise in the deployment and management of firewalls, VPN solutions, proxies (forward and reverse) and load balancers
Cloud Security and Secure Access: Understanding of securing cloud environments, including the protection of data in transit and at rest, and access security. Proficiency in the ZTNA concept.
Security Incident Management: Ability to detect and respond to security incidents, analyse threats, and address vulnerabilities.
Automation and Scripting: Skills in automating network tasks to improve operational efficiency, using common scripting languages.
Knowledge of Operating Systems: Familiarity with the operating systems used in network environments.
Security Standards and Protocols: Knowledge of network security standards and cryptographic protocols to secure communications.
Continuing Education and Certifications (optional but beneficial): Commitment to ongoing training and obtaining professional certifications in network management and security.
Security+: Fundamentals of network security (optional but beneficial)
