Job description
As the Senior Software QA Engineer, you will take ownership of software quality across web and mobile products, working closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders. This role will begin with a strong manual testing focus to allow you to learn the product and understand the current development process, before identifying where automation can sensibly add value. Reporting to the Head of Technology, you will help define QA standards, improve testing processes, and support the team in embedding a more structured and scalable approach to quality.
- Develop and implement a practical QA strategy suited to an SME software environment.
- Carry out manual testing across web and mobile products, investigating and documenting defects.
- Introduce and maintain test automation where it adds clear value to quality and efficiency.
- Work closely with developers and stakeholders to improve testing standards, acceptance criteria, and release confidence.
Requirements
- Strong background in software QA across both manual and automated testing.
- Experience testing consumer-facing web and mobile applications.
- Good understanding of testing methodologies including regression, integration, and UAT.
- Confident working cross-functionally and helping shape QA processes within a growing team., * manual and automated testing: 1 year (required)
