Job description
We are looking for an experienced IT Support Engineer with a strong background in 1st and 2nd line support, combining hands-on end-user support and ownership of IT infrastructure to join our growing team. In this role, you will help ensure our IT environment remains secure, reliable, and efficient, while delivering a high-quality support experience to employees in our Newport office.
Working as part of a global IT team alongside colleagues in our UK headquarters and Miami, you will take ownership of core infrastructure including identity management, networking, endpoints, and security tools. You will resolve technical issues, support system upgrades and projects, and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our IT estate. While infrastructure is the primary focus, you will also support business systems and applications as required.

What you'll do
- Provide first-line IT support to employees via email, messaging, phone, and in person and maintain documentation of IT procedures, support tickets, and solutions.
- Provide technical support for Windows devices and peripherals, and support collaboration tools including Microsoft 365 and Teams
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including device setup, account provisioning, access rights, and licences
- Administer user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and Entra ID
- Manage and troubleshoot endpoint management tools such as Intune and ThreatLocker
- Configure and support VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN, DNS, DHCP, other networking services.
- Assist with firewall and switch configuration, security improvements, and preventive maintenance.
- Assist with infrastructure projects, system upgrades, and global IT initiatives
- Develop basic PowerShell automation to improve efficiency
- Provide first-line support for the ERP system (Quantum) and escalate issues as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in IT support or infrastructure roles
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Entra ID
- Solid Windows configuration and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with endpoint management tools such as Intune and Threatlocker
- Good understanding of networking (IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi-Fi)
- Experience supporting system upgrades, migrations, and IT security
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills
- A technically capable IT professional with an infrastructure focus
- A confident problem-solver who can work independently
- A customer-focused individual and proactive team player
- Willing to participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota (paid)
