Job description
This role will be based out of our Kingfisher Head Office in Paddington, with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office. What's the job?:
- Lead the ownership and continuous improvement of data management tools, including data catalogue (Collibra), data quality and data maturity capabilities.
- Define, maintain and embed data governance artefacts such as policies, processes and guardrails, working collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Own and evolve the data governance framework to support the quality, security and usability of data.
- Partner with Data Protection and Legal teams to ensure an aligned and compliant approach to data governance and risk management.
- Proactively identify, resolve and manage data-related issues and risks within governance policies and processes.
- Enable understanding and adoption of data governance by communicating clearly with stakeholders and supporting learning across Kingfisher.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to agree, define and catalogue consistent business definitions and calculations for key metrics, setting clear priorities and expectations.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with/owning data management tools, including data catalogues, with hands-on knowledge of Collibra.
- Strong, practical understanding of data governance frameworks and standards, such as DAMA-DMBOK, COBIT, ISO/IEC 27001 and GDPR.
- Solid knowledge of data management principles, including data quality, governance and data protection best practice.
- Experience analysing and profiling data to identify trends, patterns and anomalies, and communicating insights clearly to a range of audiences.
- Ability to build strong, collaborative relationships and influence effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders in a changing environment.
