Job description
- Shape features. Work closely with business analysts and product managers to clarify requirements and turn them into clear, actionable engineering tasks.
- Contribute to architecture. Collaborate with architects to evolve system components and strengthen the technical foundation of the Statements application.
- Lead by example. Support and mentor team members, promote solid engineering practices, and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Write code. Own features end-to-end: design, develop, review, and write unit tests. Document key decisions and APIs.
- Support production. Participate in level-3 support to keep Statements stable, reliable, and fast.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java, including Spring and solid understanding of concurrency
- Good grasp of algorithms, data structures, and core computer science concepts
- Hands-on experience with SQL and at least one major RDBMS; Oracle is a plus
- Comfortable working with Linux and modern SDLC/build tools (Git/Bitbucket, Maven/Gradle, JIRA, Jenkins/TeamCity, Artifactory)
- Experience designing features and system-level architecture in high-availability, microservice-based environments
- Practical experience with production support and troubleshooting complex backend systems
- Exposure to Kafka, OpenAPI, or cloud platforms (GCP or similar) is an advantage
