Job description

You join the Portal team, the team responsible for the customer-facing platform that operators and clients use every day. You work closely with the Product Owner, Product Designer and backend developers. As well as with the Transaction, Roaming, and Smart Charging teams to make sure what gets built in the backend can actually be experienced well in the frontend. The Portal team is moving fast. We're raising the bar on frontend quality, modernising architecture and integrating AI workflows into daily development. There's a lot to build and a lot of room to shape how we do it.

Our Tech Stack

The Deftpower platform is built in C#/.NET. We are heavily using Azure Functions to keep our platform as scalable as possible. We adopt a microservice architecture where services communicate with each other mainly via the Azure Service Bus. Data storage is done in a variety of ways, but Cosmos and Azure SQL databases are used most. Monitoring and logging is done with Application Insights and Grafana as well as PowerBI dashboards. The portal that interacts with the backend is written in Angular, while our mobile applications are developed in React Native. In general, we use Azure's PaaS components wherever possible to stay up to date and ready for scale.

About the job

As Frontend Developer at Deftpower, you own the quality of what users see and touch. You translate Figma designs into responsive, accessible Angular components, set the standard for how frontend work gets done, and make sure the codebase stays clean and maintainable as we scale. This isn't a role where you wait for tickets, you proactively address technical debt, hold the bar in code reviews, and contribute to architectural decisions.

You also work with AI. Claude Code, custom agents, prompt engineering, these are part of your toolkit, not a future ambition. You use them to move faster and build more consistently.

  • Develop and maintain features in the Angular customer portal from implementation to release
  • Translate Figma designs into responsive and accessible UI components using Kendo UI and the internal component library
  • Own test coverage for delivered features, including unit and integration tests
  • Take ownership of frontend architecture decisions and set coding standards for the team
  • Identify and address technical debt proactively, not only when it blocks delivery
  • Use and improve AI workflows to increase development speed and consistency

Requirements

You have solid Angular experience and take genuine pride in the quality of your frontend work. You're the person who raises the bar, not the one who ships and moves on.

  • You have at least 3 years of experience as a frontend developer with strong Angular skills; experience with Kendo UI is a plus
  • You work with Angular 20+ features such as signals, standalone components and reactive forms
  • You care about UI consistency, accessibility and performance
  • You are comfortable working with AI development tools and open to improving how the team uses them., You love turning ideas into action. You take ownership, push projects forward and get energy from creating solutions that actually work in the real world.

Earnest

You do the right thing, especially when no one's watching. You're respectful, honest and reliable, colleagues know they can count on you.

Forward thinking

You're curious and not afraid to try new things. You experiment, learn fast and spot opportunities before others see them coming. Calculated risks? You're in.

Transparency

You believe sharing is power. You communicate openly, give constructive feedback and make your work visible so the whole team can grow together.

There are many moving parts, partners, suppliers, clients and we are a fast growing company that is still learning. You get support from talented colleagues and a management team that's close, approachable and ready to roll up their sleeves. You get the space to shape your role, to take initiative, to make real decisions, test ideas, and yes, sometimes break things. We call it 'learning fast'...

  • Salary range: Between €4500,- and €5500,- a month
  • €2.000 training budget per year to keep learning and growing.
  • Choose your own laptop to work with, up to €1.750.
  • A flexible setup with hybrid working, short decision lines and a high level of trust.
  • All conditions such as holiday allowance, 25 vacation days, pension, etc.
