Job description

We're looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to help design, build, and scale our infrastructure and deployment processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in Linux-based environments, has deep experience supporting websites and web applications, and is passionate about automation, reliability, and operational excellence.

You will play a key role in implementing best-in-class DevOps practices, optimising deployment pipelines, and driving reliable, efficient release management across multiple environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure primarily on Linux servers
  • Manage and optimise hosting environments for websites and web applications
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, integration, and deployment
  • Manage and automate Android application build, signing, and release processes
  • Coordinate and support Android app updates, including staged rollouts and version management
  • Lead release management processes, ensuring smooth and reliable production releases
  • Implement and maintain monitoring and observability solutions (e.g. Datadog)
  • Configure and manage orchestration platforms (e.g. Docker, or similar)
  • Establish and enforce DevOps best practices across development and operations teams
  • Improve system reliability, performance, and security through automation and proactive monitoring
  • Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call rotation as needed
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to streamline development workflows

Requirements

Minimum Experience: 3+ years' experience in a DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering role, The 'how' we fulfil our role is very important and therefore the following skills required for this role have been identified as:

  • Strong hands-on experience with Linux system administration
  • Experience managing production websites and web applications
  • Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Experience with orchestration technologies (Docker or similar)
  • Experience implementing monitoring and observability tools (Datadog or similar)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and system performance tuning
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure required, AWS preferable), * Experience implementing blue/green deployments, canary releases, or similar strategies
  • Familiarity with container security and vulnerability scanning
  • Experience building scalable, high-availability systems
  • Knowledge of compliance and security best practices
