Job description

The Program Lead, Portfolio Insights AI, is responsible for revolutionizing Roche's commercial& portfolio decision-making by architecting a "single source of truth" for portfolio insights. The primary purpose is to connect comprehensive, high-quality internal and external portfolio information to advanced analytical models and agentic AI. By democratizing access to real-time competitive and integrated financial and market insights data, this leader enables more objective, transparent, and data-driven decisions that strengthen Roche's competitive position and maximize the value of the pipeline.

The scope of this program encompasses the end-to-end integration of data and insights across the entire value chain: Integrated Data Ecosystem (The Source): Consolidating fragmented internal data with diverse external datasets, including Competitive Intelligence, epidemiology, social media data, market research and syndicated data sources Intelligent Automation: Implementing AI-powered tools to automate insight generation, reduce manual reporting burdens, and provide real-time alerts for market events and competitor pipeline shifts. Stakeholder-Centric Solutioning: Working closely with each stakeholder group to ensure the Portfolio Insights platform directly addresses their unique functional needs, from investor relations to REDs, PD and GPS

The Opportunity

You are the entrepreneurial architect of our AI/Analytics ecosystem. Your goal is to build scalable, scientific analytics products that are seamlessly embedded into the workflows of our Medical and Commercial teams to ensure every solution drives a tangible, validated impact on patient and business outcomes.

You are responsible for the design, feature prioritization, analytical framework/methodology, data requirement and execution and management of analytics and data products for this particular product
  • Build the overall design, business case, data strategy, analytics approach and UI for the Analytics product
  • UseJira and Scrum methodologies to translate business "pain points" into a groomed backlog of technical features with clear, time-bound milestones.
  • Feature Prioritization: Ruthlessly prioritize the product backlog based on the intersection ofBusiness Value,Data Readiness, andTechnical Feasibility.
  • Ensure insights are delivered where decisions happen. Whether it is Veeva/CRM, Marketing Automation, or custom digital tools, the analytics must be embedded in the existing workflow, not a separate destination.
  • Design "Best-in-Class" interfaces that are intuitive and "non-scientific" for the end-user, compelling Field and Medical teams to take the right actions at the right time.
  • Own the "Final Mile." You are responsible for driving the adoption rate and measuring the tangible "Lift" impact generated by the product.
  • Define rigorous validation criteria. You must be willing to "kill" a product if the EDA (Exploratory Data Analysis) shows a low signal-to-noise ratio or if the data sources cannot support a scalable solution.
  • Simplify complex AI concepts into strategic narratives forC-suite/Senior Leadership. You must justify the "spend" by demonstrating the

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of the Medical/Commercial lifecycle in Life Sciences (HCP engagement, Patient Journeys, Regulatory/Compliance).
  • Must have experience in building AI and Agentic AI solutions at scale
  • Deep expertise in conducting secondary and primary research, for diseases area strategy/BD
  • Deep expertise in building forecasting models, and market sizing analytics
  • You must understand "how the engine works." This includes a strong grasp of Cloud stacks, Data Engineering, API integrations, and MLOps.
  • Hands-on experience with modern Data Warehouses (Snowflake/Databricks)
  • The ability to operate as a "mini-CEO" of your product line, navigating a complex matrix organization to get things done.
