Job description

  • Develop and operate the necessary infrastructure and tools for the detection, collection, processing and analysis of cyber threats, and devise innovative technical solutions for threat mitigation
  • Monitor relevant threat actors in cyberspace and their tactics, techniques and procedures (TTPs) in order to produce timely and accurate technical cyber threat intelligence (CTI)
  • Provide technical and organisational support to operators of critical infrastructure in managing cyber incidents (incident response) and implement appropriate countermeasures to defend against cyber threats
  • Exchange information with relevant partners at home and abroad on the current threat situation in cyberspace
  • Contribute technical expertise to national and international specialist groups, events and conferences

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent qualification in computer science, information security or equivalent experience gained through professional practice
  • In-depth technical knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems, common network protocols, current technologies (such as Elastic, ClickHouse, YARA) and at least one scripting or programming language (e.g. Python, Go, C++, Rust)
  • In-depth technical understanding of cyber threat intelligence (CTI), threat actors, attack vectors and attackers' tactics and techniques in cyberspace (TTP)
  • Enthusiasm for and willingness to engage in professional exchange and collaboration with technical partners
  • Willingness to undertake periodic on-call duty and occasional assignments
  • Very good knowledge of two official languages and passive knowledge of the third official language, as well as very good English skills, The Government Computer Emergency Response Team (GovCERT) acts as a national specialist unit analysing cyber threats and supports operators of critical infrastructure, the Swiss business sector and the authorities in preventing cyber attacks and managing cyber incidents. About the company

The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is the federal government's centre of expertise for matters of cyber security and the first point of contact for businesses, public authorities, educational institutions and the public on cyber-related issues. The NCSC raises awareness and alerts the public and public authorities to cyberthreats and cyberattacks. It processes reports on incidents and threats in cyberspace, and provides technical analysis to help operators of critical infrastructure, in particular, respond to cyberattacks.
