Senior Data Engineer

As our new Data Engineer, you possess foundational knowledge in Azure technologies, particularly Azure Data Factory and Databricks, with a focus on developing and designing data engineering scripts and pipelines within the Ayvens Target Data Platform. This hands-on position involves collaborating with team members to execute data engineering processes effectively.

What are you going to do?

In this position you are going to be responsible for

• Collaborate as part of a data engineering team, with a strong focus on Azure-based solutions.
• Assist in executing tasks related to data engineering while communicating with relevant stakeholders.
• Document work processes and share knowledge about Azure best practices with team members.

The ideal candidate has the interpersonal skills necessary to manage and build relationships across multiple departments and geographical locations. Collaboration, agility project management and decision making are examples of key behaviours reflecting the agile culture of Ayvens.

• BSc or MSc degree in Finance, IT, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for business analysis, ELT / ETL in Python (or equivalent).
• Proven experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks is preferred.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Continuous learning and curiosity about new technologies and industry trends.
• Nice to have: experience with data ops, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
