Job description
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Analytics team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data-driven solutions that guide business decision-making. As a key member of the team, you will not only be responsible for the traditional tasks of delivering high quality datasets, but you will have the opportunity to go further, deeply understand the business requirements and have a driving impact as we continue to grow our young team. Where You will make a difference Design, build, test, and maintain reliable data pipelines, with a strong focus on documentation and automated testing. Partner with cross-functional teams to manage and continuously improve a Snowflake-based data warehouse. Engage with stakeholders across varying technical backgrounds to gather requirements and deliver high-quality data assets. Apply dimensional data modeling techniques to enable analytics and reporting use cases. Optimize data models and queries for performance, with familiarity in medallion or similar layered architectures as a plus. Partner closely with data analysts to understand BI needs and enable effective dashboarding and reporting. Develop well-structured, accessible datasets to deliver custom Power BI dashboards. Contribute to environment setup and best practices, including CI/CD pipelines, data quality monitoring, and database organization. Thrive in a greenfield yet structured environment, fostering teamwork, continuous learning, and adoption of emerging data engineering and BI technologies. What Makes You the Right Fit
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, or a related field. Proficiency in SQL, and one or more data related languages such as R or Python. Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts. Adept at code development best practices: GIT, branching strategies, code formatting and a keen eye for standardization Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills What makes you stand out? Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake preferred), dbt, and orchestration tools like Airflow. Skilled in creating dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker. Familiarity with chemical industry data standards and regulations, and experience working in Agile development environments.
