Job description
SystemsAccountants is working with a growing organisation seeking an experienced MS Azure & Microsoft Fabric Developer on a contract basis to lead the development, optimisation, and governance of their modern data platform. This role blends cloud architecture, data engineering, and BI enablement, supporting the business with high-quality analytics and scalable data solutions.
The Role
Own and manage the Microsoft Fabric environment, including Data Warehouses and Lakehouses.
Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related tools.
Develop and govern semantic models and high-performance Power BI reporting.
Implement CI/CD pipelines, workspace governance, and platform lifecycle management.
Ensure robust data security, RLS/OLS, and compliance with GDPR/ITAR/PCI.
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric , Azure Data Factory, and modern data architectures.
Expertise in Power BI modelling, DAX, Power Query (M), and data transformation.
Experience with Delta Lake, Lakehouse/Warehouse design, and performance tuning.
Knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or R for automation and advanced analytics.
Background in SAP Datasphere is beneficial but not essential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders.
