Job description

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic IT support team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining network infrastructure. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in a fast-paced environment, supporting various operating systems and network configurations. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a passion for technology and customer service excellence., * Provide first-line technical support to end-users via help desk platforms such as ServiceNow and Jira

  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues related to computers, servers, and peripherals
  • Support and maintain computer networks including LAN, VPN, DNS, TCP/IP, and firewall configurations
  • Assist with software troubleshooting across operating systems such as Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Manage Active Directory accounts and permissions, including user account creation and password resets
  • Support Microsoft Windows Server environments and utilise SCCM for software deployment and updates
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware components
  • Monitor network security measures including firewall settings and VPN connections
  • Document technical procedures and solutions clearly for future reference
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure system stability and security

Requirements

  • Proven experience in computer networking, desktop support, and IT troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and SCCM tools
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, LAN configuration, VPNs, firewalls, and TCP communication protocols
  • Experience with Active Directory management and user account administration
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to non-technical users
  • Excellent analysis skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are desirable but not essential
