Job description
The IT architect is responsible for the documentation, governance, and resilience of the bank's IT system according to FINMA regulatory standards.
The IT architect maintains an architecture repository (assets, zones, providers) and ensures the updating of documentation and best architectural practices according to the bank's strategy. The IT architect is active in the Finnova cantonal banks community and actively exchanges with partners to ensure a good standard and community choices whenever possible.
Main tasks:
Architecture governance
- Provide best practices for the implementation of new systems
- Design the future technical architecture of the IT system (cloud technologies, AI, etc.).
- Define principles of urbanization, integration, and interoperability.
- Ensure compatibility with Finnova community standards and guidelines.
Governance and compliance
- Ensure alignment with FINMA requirements (operational resilience, ICT risk management, outsourcing).
- Contribute to architecture committees and steering bodies.
- Document key decisions and trade-offs.
- Ensure updating (cybersecurity) and lifecycle management of the IT system.
Multi-bank coordination and ecosystem
- Participate in interbank working groups related to the Finnova banking system (infrastructure, technology)
- Share best practices and feedback within the community.
- Contribute to the coherence of key choices at the community level.
Partner integration and management
- Ensure risk control related to outsourcing.
- Guarantee regular updates and architecture reviews in cooperation with security bodies.
Operational excellence and resilience
- Integrate security, performance, and continuity requirements and coordinate them with IT directions
- Ensure control of critical dependencies.
- Support the continuous evolution capacity of the platform
Requirements
- Degree in IT or systems architecture; TOGAF certification is a plus.
- Expertise in application architecture and API integration.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic vision., * Training in computer science, systems architecture, or equivalent.
- Certification in enterprise architecture (TOGAF or equivalent): a plus.

- French: native or equivalent
