Job description

We are seeking highly analytical professionals who are eager to create innovative solutions in a culture that values trust and teamwork. You will work with code based on C# and APL, and with many new technologies for cloud development in Azure.

As part of our international Scrum teams, you will play a crucial role in delivering solutions within our system, SimCorp Dimension, and the Azure cloud, while working closely with Offer Managers and engaging directly with clients. You will also have the opportunity to learn about financial investments, including developing solutions for Alternative Investments.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

You will apply your talents across all stages of the development lifecycle, including the creation and review of user stories, design, development, testing, coding, code reviews, writing automated tests, and support. You will be using multiple technologies, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing new functionality and continuously improving the existing code base
  • Working with backend and mid-tier technologies, as well as web frontend standards
  • Collaborating with your Scrum team to reach the definition of done within each sprint
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and gather fast feedback
  • Continuously learning and improving yourself, your team, and our product - including working with modern engineering practices such as test-driven development, pair programming, and mob programming

We expect you to be proficient in several of the following areas and willing to learn the rest:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
  • Programming experience in C# using the .NET Framework
  • Knowledge of cloud services, infrastructure, pipelines, and architecture - preferably on Azure
  • Familiarity and ideally hands-on experience with Azure Bicep, Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bash, etc.
  • Understanding of modern web technologies and RESTful API communication
  • Interest in or experience with APL
  • Experience with automated testing
  • Ability to work with and develop complex architecture
  • Adaptability - able to pivot quickly when needed
  • Proactive, self-driven, and improvement-focused mindset
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English (spoken and written)
