Job description

  • Manage and create the IT infrastructure for a synthetic test & evaluation system
  • Provide 3rd-line support to meet business demands
  • Act as a mentor to colleagues with less experience
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and in compliance with change management procedures
  • Work autonomously with customer access and cutting-edge technology
  • Engage in some UK travel and occasional overseas travel as required

Requirements

  • Five years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of system demands translation from non-technical to technical specifications
  • Ability to install and configure Windows Server 2022/2025 technologies, including WSUS, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, NPS, LDAPS, LAPS, AppLocker, Certificate Authority, Smart Cards, File Servers, KMS, and WDS/MDT
  • Proficiency in Windows 10/11
  • Experience with various networking solutions including Firewalls, Switches, and Routers (Cisco, FortiGate, Palo Alto)
  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, vSphere, VMware)
  • Experience with Dell SANs (iSCSI, Raid) and Dell Servers
  • Familiarity with software such as Nessus, Ad Audit Plus, Siem, Wireshark, SQL Server, and Jira Service Desk Management
  • Experience in designing, proposing, and implementing IT solutions
  • Linux experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills; capable of solving problems independently
  • Must be a sole UK national and eligible for UK Government DV-level security clearance
