Job description
- Drive AWS cost optimisation strategies across large-scale cloud environments
- Embed FinOps principles into architecture and engineering practices
- Partner with architects and engineers to design cost-efficient, scalable solutions
- Provide strategic guidance to stakeholders on cloud spend and optimisation opportunities
- Build data-driven business cases to support cloud investment decisions
- Influence decision-making across both technical and non-technical teams

Requirements
- Strong experience with AWS, including pricing models and cost management tools
- Proven track record of cloud cost optimisation in production environments
- Understanding of cloud architecture and how design decisions impact cost
- Experience engaging with stakeholders and influencing technical direction
- Ability to translate technical insights into commercial outcomes
- Desirable: Exposure to FinOps frameworks or practices
- Desirable: Experience within public sector, defence, or regulated environments
- Important: Must be a sole British national (required for DV clearance)
- Willingness to undergo Developed Vetting (DV) clearance
- Comfortable working 3 days per week onsite on average
