Job description
We are looking for an IT Support Engineer to provide on-site and remote support to education and public sector clients across East Yorkshire.
You will support a mix of IT operations, classroom technology, cloud-based CCTV and security systems, and digital transformation projects. This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone with school or MSP IT support experience who enjoys working directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site and remote IT support to schools and public sector clients
- Support digital transformation projects, including:
- Cloud-based CCTV and security systems (support, configuration, connectivity)
- Chromebook rollouts and Google Workspace environments
- School sign-in and safeguarding systems
- Audio visual and classroom technology support
- Print and managed print solutions, including Papercut
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues
- Install, configure, and support Chromebooks, laptops, desktops, and peripherals
- Support interactive displays, classroom AV, and associated systems
- Work with central service desk, projects, AV, and security teams
- Provide clear handovers and basic user guidance to school staff
- Maintain accurate job notes, documentation, and asset records
Requirements
- Previous IT support experience (education or MSP strongly preferred)
- Experience supporting schools or public sector environments
- Working knowledge of Windows and/or ChromeOS
- Understanding of basic networking (IP addressing, switches, connectivity)
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel locally
Desirable
- Experience with cloud-based CCTV or IP security systems
- Chromebook deployment and Google Workspace experience
- Knowledge of Papercut or education print environments
- Experience supporting classroom AV or interactive displays
- Microsoft 365 experience

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
