Access Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Access Control Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting access control systems across various sites. This role is Scotland based but includes occasional travel across the UK. This role requires a strong understanding of a range of access control including but not limited to car park barriers, turnstiles, swipe card systems and audio entry systems to ensure secure and reliable access solutions. The position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a background in access control, fire and security, telecommunications, CCTV to contribute to high-profile projects within a dynamic environment., * Install, configure, and maintain access control hardware and software across multiple locations.

• Conduct system testing and troubleshooting of networked access control solutions.
• Perform electrical work related to system installation, including wiring, power supply management, and integration.
• Utilise hand tools and power tools for installation tasks, ensuring safety standards are maintained at all times.
• Analyse schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of system specifications.
• Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, updates, and repairs for future reference.

• Strong knowledge of a range of access control including turnstiles, car park barriers, swipe card systems and audio entry entry systems.
• Mechanical knowledge related to hardware installation and maintenance.
• Electrical experience including wiring, circuit management, and power supply integration.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams effectively.
• Practical experience with hand tools, power tools, and construction procedures related to security installations.
• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation processes.
