Java Developer/Lead - AI, Gitlab, Banking vacancy for our Zurich based client in the Banking sector.

Your tasks:

• Define and drive the strategy for AI-driven software development, setting engineering standards and adoption roadmaps
• Lead a team of AI-native software engineering and test automation specialists to deliver transformation across the engineering organisation
• Establish governance and quality frameworks for AI-assisted development, including security, compliance, and code review practices
• Design and implement change management programmes to accelerate capability-building for teams in Switzerland, Spain, Poland, and India
• Measure and communicate transformation impact through productivity metrics and engineering maturity assessments

Your experience/knowledge:

• Proven experience driving large-scale engineering or organisational transformation and modernising operating models
• Strong expertise in programming, application development, DevSecOps, and AI-powered development tools
• Deep understanding of modern SDLC practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps and SAFe principles
• Background in banking practice and a degree from a university or university of applied sciences (or equivalent)
• Language skills: English (German is an advantage)
