Enterprise Application Architect Data/Analytics

Our central IT architecture team, consisting of around 15 employees, shapes the evolution of our IT landscape in close collaboration with our stakeholders. The focus is particularly on the application portfolio used within Zürcher Kantonalbank. Among other things, this lays the foundation for the bank's technical innovation and resilience. In our central enterprise IT architecture, you take on a crucial role. As an advisory and shaping person, you actively influence the further development and strategic orientation of our IT landscape. Your tasks

• Developing the strategic data and analytics architecture in line with the IT and corporate strategy
• Defining and establishing guidelines and guardrails (e.g., patterns with specifications, standards, etc.) for data management, data quality, metadata management, (Gen) AI, and data governance.
• Reviewing solution designs (domain blueprints, target architectures, etc.) for compliance with the enterprise IT architecture requirements
• Working closely with business units, IT, data engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into viable architecture concepts.
• Evaluating and selecting technologies, platforms, and tools in the data and analytics environment
• Maintaining and further developing the current architecture models and data inventories as a basis for further analyses, e.g., based on data-driven architecture approaches

• Completed education or training in (business) informatics or comparable professional experience
• Several years of experience as an architect (solution/data/enterprise) in complex IT landscapes in the context of analytical platforms, data platforms / data warehouses / data mesh, and data visualization, especially in medium-sized to large companies in the financial services sector, is mandatory
• Experience with modern architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF), capability-based modeling, and working in agile environments (e.g., with SCRUM, SAFe) is an advantage
• Broad know-how about banking applications, IT solutions & reference architectures
• Many years of experience in conceptual and physical data modeling for operational and analytical applications
• Knowledge of common technologies in data engineering e.g. Domino Data Lab, Tableau, Denodo, Azure Open AI, Python, and relational / non-relational databases
• Very good German skills (at least C1)
