Middleware Specialist

We're looking for a Middleware Specialist to support our expanding portfolio of laboratory and hospital installations across Australia and New Zealand.

This is a newly created role with real impact-supporting major national projects, new product launches, and complex system integrations in leading clinical environments.

About the role:

As a Middleware Specialist, you'll play a critical part in connecting Stago analyzers with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and other Middleware, ensuring accurate, secure, and seamless data flow.

Under the supervision of our Middleware BU Expert, you'll work closely with Field Service Engineers, Application Specialists, IT teams, and laboratory staff to deliver high-quality middleware solutions from installation through to validation and ongoing optimization., Configure, implement, and maintain Stago data manager platforms (STA Coag Expert, Coag.One and sthemE Manager)

• Integrate new analyzers with LIS/MW, ensuring correct protocols and data mapping
• Troubleshoot interface, connectivity, and communication issues
• Configure rules engines, autoverification, and workflows to optimize lab efficiency
• Support customer installations and major rollout projects across ANZ and the wider APAC region
• Participate in system validation, documentation, and regulatory compliance activities
• Monitor system performance, perform preventive maintenance, and apply updates
• Provide technical guidance and training to internal teams and end users

At least 2 years' experience in a Middleware Specialist or similar role

• Experience working in laboratory and/or hospital environments
• Strong computer networking and IT troubleshooting skills
• Middleware integration experience (healthcare or diagnostics preferred)
• Tertiary qualification (mandatory)
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive mindset
