Platform Developer Experience (PDX) tribe

• Execute on future VCS infrastructure strategy to support 3000 engineers and their daily builds
• Support operational tasks to maintain system health and updates
• Develop and maintain our GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES) instance
• Drive automation and improvements to the GHES instance across current technical stacks
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure stability of the VCS platform

We offer a contract role with an emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in the developer experience.

• Experienced engineer with familiarity in Linux and Networking fundamentals
• Experience managing and administering GitHub Enterprise Server and/or GitLab Server
• Proficient in deploying and implementing solutions in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS
• Strong focus on standardization and automation to enhance developer experience
• Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as testing, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
• Expertise in Linux system operations
• Administration experience with GitHub and/or GitLab
• Understanding of HTTP and networking concepts
• AI tooling experience is essential

Salary: £130,000 - 143,000 per year
