Job description

This role is for an experienced Operational Acceptance Test Engineer to support the transition of complex systems into live service. You will take ownership of OAT activities, ensuring solutions are operationally ready, resilient and compliant before production release., * Lead and execute Operational Acceptance Testing across cloud-based services

  • Define and deliver OAT strategies, plans and acceptance criteria
  • Validate operational readiness including monitoring, alerting, backup and recovery
  • Work closely with DevOps, infrastructure and release management teams
  • Support release activities and ensure smooth handover into live operations
  • Identify, manage and report risks, defects and operational issues
  • Produce clear test reports and operational readiness documentation

Operational Acceptance Test Engineer, Security Clearance - SC eligible, active SC preferred. UK residency for the last 5+ years and British passport holder required., Digital Skills are working with a specialist testing consultancy, providing critical testing services to Central Government programmes. The organisation supports high-profile, business-critical systems where operational resilience, security and reliability are essential., * Strong hands-on experience in Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT)

  • Good working knowledge of AWS cloud environments
  • Experience working within DevOps and CI/CD driven teams
  • Solid understanding of release management and production readiness
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, resilience and recovery processes
  • Experience working on secure or regulated environments
