Job description
· As a QA, you will drive high factory and product standards through internal auditing, monitoring and reporting to ensure adherence to the companies Quality Management System.
· The business processes fresh fruit providing a range of major UK & European retailers with prepared cut fruit, fruit tarts, jelly and breakfast pots.
As a QA Technologist your key duties will include:
· Working as an internal quality assurance compliance auditor, carrying out audits in: GMP, CCP's, Label and Date Coding, Traceability, Hygiene, Fabrication, Product quality, Documentation and Paperwork, Production processes and procedures
· Ensuring full documentation of the audits and clear communication of audit results including non-conformance root cause follow up and verification of closure to prevent repeated issues
· Following QA procedures and systems to ensure compliance with required third party audit and customer code of practise standards
· Investigating specification results (OOS) for Microbiological, Allergen, Nutritional individual or trending issues; Customer complaints; Foreign body including metal and glass damage/breakage
· Identifying and issuing documented Non-conformances, Concessions, Hold notifications and ensuring all quarantined goods are managed appropriately
· Carrying out routine validations in accordance with HACCP scheduled requirement
· Attending new product/process trials to ensure smooth transition for launch
· Working closely alongside the Operations team to ensure all Technical requirements are met on a daily basis.
· To support and Audit the Training needs of our employees in line with all customer specifications.
Requirements
To be considered for the role of Quality Assurance Technologist, you should ideally have:
- 1+ years' experience in a food industry production/QA/technical role
- Fluency in English
- Food Safety - Level 2
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications / computer literate, * A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- Food industry: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safety Level 2 (required)
Benefits & conditions
Rate of Pay: £616.25 per week plus overtime at 1.25 times your rate of pay.
Hours: Any 5 days from 7 days - starting at 7am to 3:30pm with overtime. Flexible starts can be requested depending on orders, Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
