Backend Engineer

Our client is currently scaling their engineering department across multiple teams. As the Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical landscape.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Frontend Engineers, Product Managers, and Product Designers to conceptualize and ship impactful new features.
• Systems Design: Architect and develop core financial integrations, ensuring customer funds remain secure and transactions are processed with industry-leading efficiency.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor your peers by sharing your expertise, driving technical innovation, and proactively identifying areas for architectural improvement.

• Experience: 6+ years of continuous professional experience in backend engineering.
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Kotlin for server-side development.
• Environment: A proven track record in a product-led, fast-paced environment (such as a high-growth startup or tech firm).
• Data: Strong experience working with relational databases.
• Infrastructure: Working knowledge of cloud platforms, with a strong preference for Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Craftsmanship: A keen eye for code quality, a passion for clean architecture, and a drive to optimize system performance.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
