Job description

Our client specializing in manufacturing and supply advanced Railway technologies, including signaling and communication technology as well as leading Technologies to Condition monitoring of infrastructure and railway vehicles and for asset management., * Creation of requirements documents, system requirements and architecture, interface specifications, block designs and technical specifications. Analyses

  • verification functional Requirements in the Area of signaling technology and ensuring the traceability of design documents
  • Creation of documents ( specifications, protocols, test reports, etc.) that meet project requirements regarding budgets, schedules, standards and internal processes are equivalent to
  • Definition of development and procurement needs based on customer requirements
  • Maintenance and use of the Lessons Learned database for the detection of design flaws, process and tool weaknesses, as well as corresponding Corrective measures
  • Support during configuration as well as HW/SW development of signal systems through Monitoring of functional design and creation or maintenance of version control sheets

Requirements

  • Completed studies in Area Electrical engineering , electronics, information technology , computer science or one comparable technical Training
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in the Area of functional design of signal boxes or Train Control System (ETCS)
  • Very good German language skills (at least C1-C2) and very good English language skills (at least C1)
  • Well-founded Knowledge of German Electronic Train Control Systems (ETCS)
  • Safe handling with Microsoft Office, project planning software (MS Project or Primavera) and Requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS or Polarion

Desirable Additional knowledge

  • Knowledge of the ETCS train control system and/ or signal boxes
  • Fundamentals of railway signaling technology: Understanding signaling principles, interlocking systems, block systems, operational safety and operational aspects Rule sets.
  • Experiences, clear, testable functional Specifications according to Safety and performance requirements to write.
  • Software lifecycle (V-model): Familiarity with the V-model or similar processes in safety-critical areas Systems.
  • Programming & Scripting ( desirable ): Knowledge of C, C++, Python or MATLAB/Simulink for prototyping, simulation or automated testing.
  • Communication skills to active Contributing to solutions for project tasks
