Software Engineer (AWS, APIs, TypeScript, React) - Manchester

Location: Manchester Start/End Date: approx. 8 months Hours: 40 per week Qty: 1 Education: Bachelor's Degree Experience: 3-5 years relevant experience

This is a Manchester based role with an excellent immediate start within a Global Technology Client that is working to build and support scalable software solutions using AWS, APIs, TypeScript, and React, working across Back End and Front End systems.

Overview

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our client's Manchester team. You will build and support scalable software solutions using AWS, APIs, TypeScript, and React, working across Back End and Front End systems.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality code, improving system reliability, and working closely with product and engineering teams to build effective technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain applications using AWS, APIs, TypeScript, and React
Write clean, reusable, and well-tested code
Support end-to-end ownership of services (build, deploy, monitor, improve)
Investigate and resolve production issues and incidents
Improve system reliability through root cause analysis
Contribute to system design and architecture discussions
Work with product teams to deliver technical solutions
Identify and implement process and system improvements
Communicate clearly with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders

Required Experience

Strong software engineering skills (3-5 years)
Experience with system design and end-to-end ownership
Experience handling production incidents
Understanding of software architecture principles
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Good communication and teamwork skills

Additional

On-call support may be required
Collaborative engineering environment within the client's technology team
Focus on scalable, reliable cloud-based systems using modern web technologies
