Requirements
Qualifications + Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent practical experience. + 2+ years of software development experience in a professional environment. + Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, web fundamentals (HTML/CSS), and common frontend frameworks. + Familiarity with accessibility standards, performance optimization, and modern UI patterns. + Familiarity with modern development tools and practices (version control, CI/CD, automated testing). + Ability to reason about the full web application stack-from frontend behavior to backend interfaces and production environments-even without deep expertise in all areas. + Experience working with algorithms, data structures, and APIs. + Solid debugging and problem-solving skills, with an interest in improving code quality and user experience. + Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially with cross-functional partners. + Commitment to continuous learning and the, policies (depending on your location) + Free access to global on-site wellness centers staffed with nurses and doctors (depending on location) + Free and confidential counseling support through our Healthy Minds program + Career development and training opportunities Offer of employment with American Express is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
