Job description
- Design, build, and operate reliable ETL pipelines in the Microsoft BI stack (SQL Server, Power BI, Power Query; Azure Data Factory a plus)
- Develop, optimize, and govern Power BI datasets and dashboards
- Model clean star/snowflake schemas and document SQL objects, lineage, and definitions
- Integrate data from ERP/CRM and other sources (database connectors, flat files, APIs)
- Implement data-quality checks, reconciliation queries, and monitoring
- Apply best-practice data visualization and performance tuning (T-SQL, DAX)
- Work closely with Finance, Controlling, and IT to turn requirements into production deliverables, * Work in an innovative and international biotech environment with data-driven decision-making

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Informatics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration with IT focus or a related field
- Power BI: DAX fundamentals, Power Query (M), dimensional modeling, RLS, Power BI Service (datasets, workspace management, deployment pipelines)
- T-SQL: hands-on proficiency (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, CTEs); basics of indexing and query tuning
- Understanding of ETL and data integration patterns (DB connectors, files, APIs)
- Structured, analytical and independent way of working
- Passion for data visualization, reporting and modern BI solutions
- Nice to have: SSIS or Azure Data Factory
- Good command of German or English, additional languages are a plus
- Industry experience in pharma/biotech is not required
