Job description
The purpose of this role is to provide leadership, advice and hands-on delivery in all areas associated with the planning, implementation and effective use of project information systems and Common Data Environments (CDEs). As a Senior Information Manager, you will act as the Information Manager on complex projects, ensuring alignment with ISO 19650, client requirements and Arup standards. You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients and project leadership, ensuring information is managed as a strategic asset, providing advice on information risk, compliance and optimisation.
Other elements of your role will include developing and maintaining project-specific IM documentation, including IM strategies, EIRs, BEPs, TIDPs/MIDPs, naming conventions and information governance models. Defining, configuring, administering and assuring CDE solutions using SharePoint / Microsoft 365, ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud (Forma). You will establish and manage information structures, metadata, workflows, permissions and status codes across multi-system environments.
Requirements
- Professional qualification, ideally degree-level (or equivalent) in an engineering or building discipline and a well-established background in Information Management, BIM, Digital Delivery or closely related roles within the built environment.
- Proven experience acting as Information Manager on complex energy projects.
- Strong working knowledge and practical application of ISO 19650 (including BEPs, EIRs, TIDPs and MIDPs).
- Hands-on experience configuring, administering and governing SharePoint / M365, ProjectWise and Autodesk Construction Cloud.
- Experience working across multiple stages of the project lifecycle and the ability to explain IM concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
