Job description
The Engineering Operations Analyst supports the efficient execution of Engineering activities by manageing data, processes, tools and performance metrics.
The role bridges engineering, test and operational teams to ensure systems, workflows and outputs meet quality, compliance and delivery requirements.
Provide Finance and Metric analysis support to the Engineering Director by analysing engineering and operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIS, and reporting tools for engineering performance and program status.
This will involve creating weekly budget and utilisation analysis reports and monthly briefing packs for Senior Leaders.
Maintain the asset register for all capital equipment collaborating across sites.
Build strong relationships with other functions. In particular the Finance function to obtain and provide regular reports and the CTO team to develop improved reporting mechanisms for integration of applications.
Effectively communicate, orally and in writing, across functions and at all levels of the organisation, articulating complex financial information to non-financial staff.
Maintain configuration control, documentation and data integrity across engineering systems. Support verification and validation activities by organizing test data, results and traceability records. Assist in resource planning, capacity analysis and workload forecasting
Ability to lead and facilitate cross functional initiatives for improvement initiatives identified by yourself and others.

Requirements
- A-Level qualified in Maths, Business or Finance
- Experience with reporting and dashboard tools (PowerBI)
- Experience within a fast paced and varying environment.
- Knowledge and application of Project Management
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, Macros not required), Word, PowerPoint.
- Well organised with the ability to multi-task and manage with inputs from multiple sources.
- Able to work under pressure and provide high quality deliverables to tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical thinker
- Good problem solving skills
- Current holder of or eligibility to obtain SC clearance
Desirable Skills
- Experience in regulated industries e.g., aerospace, automotive
- Familiarity with Engineering standards and verification process
