Job description
The Clinical IT Specialist is responsible for coordinating and executing all activities related to the implementation, configuration, validation, and support of Beckman Coulter's Clinical IT solutions in customer laboratories.
Experience in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) environments is essential for success in this role. You will work directly within regulated laboratory settings, supporting diagnostic instruments, integration platforms and information systems. This requires an understanding of IVD workflows, quality systems, regulatory compliance, and the critical nature of diagnostic data in patient care.

You will be part of the Clinical IT Europe team, reporting to the Clinical IT Manager. This role partners closely with upstream teams (Product) and downstream functions (Sales, Marketing, Project Management), while playing a key role in post-sales support across the Beckman Coulter Clinical IT portfolio.

In This Role, You Will:
- Deploy and configure Total Laboratory Automation solutions in accordance with approved designs, project timelines, and customer requirements
- Maintain rigorous control of projects, including documentation, reporting, and compliance with quality standards
- Proactively manage risks and issues during implementation, identifying corrective actions to meet project milestones
- Build and sustain strong customer relationships through continuous engagement and solution-driven support
- Act as a trusted consultant for customers and internal stakeholders, including Pre-Sales teams
- Capture and relay customer feedback in accordance with Beckman Coulter processes
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement and future development of Clinical IT solutions
Requirements
- Degree or Higher Education Level in Biomedical engineering or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD), including laboratory workflows, diagnostic instruments, Total Laboratory Automation solutions
- Proven ability to self-organize, manage competing priorities, and perform in a demanding environment
- Languages: German; English; French
- Flexibility to travel 50-70% of the time primarily within Switzerland and Austria, with additional travel across Europe as business needs require, and the ability to work flexible hours.
Nice to Have
- Experience with networking, virtual environments (Hyper-V, VMware), and Windows Server (2025, 2022, 2019)
- Knowledge of laboratory analyzer connectivity and communication protocols (HL7, ASTM)
- Experience working within a European or international team
- Prior experience managing projects in laboratory or hospital environments
