Quality Control (QC) Digital Backbone is a section within the Quality Control Basel Kaiseraugst organization, comprising approximately 30 employees, organized in 2 teams and subject matter experts.

The Opportunity:

The Unit Lead Master Data Management will lead a team of approx. 12 employees and organizes and oversees the local Master Data Management for the digital systems in the Quality Control Department Basel / Kaiseraugst (e.g. SingleLIMS, SAP, Speca) which is crucial to ensure compliance of our products.

As a leader, you will encourage your employees in their further development. You are an active member of the QC Digital Backbone Leadership Team and thus directly influence the development of the local and global analytical organization. Your other main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of subject matter experts to achieve strategic goals, organizational development, and talent management.
  • Foster a work environment characterized by team spirit, effective communication, and inspired self-organization.
  • Manage Master Data for QC digital systems (SingleLIMS, SAP, Speca) to ensure product compliance.
  • Oversee operational support, including incident handling, documentation, reporting, and equipment/material use.
  • Maintain strong alignment and information flow with local and global partners.
  • Represent QC Master Data Management in audits and inspections, ensuring all procedures are regulatory compliant.
  • Provide technical support and collaborate on troubleshooting while ensuring a professional, results-oriented work style.

Requirements

  • Education & Experience: Degree in Life Sciences or IT with 3+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience and initial staff leadership experience.
  • Technical Expertise: Profound knowledge of local/international GMP regulations and compliant GxP Computerized Systems.
  • Leadership Qualities: A trusted leader who takes responsibility, promotes a speak-up culture, and focuses on continuous improvement.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to work independently on challenging tasks, evaluating complex issues to make decisive actions.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills in fluent German or English, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the Roche network.
